About Lauren Norris
Hi, I’m Lauren Norris, a Licensed Professional Counselor with a passion for helping people heal, grow, and live authentically. Since 2015, I’ve had the privilege of walking alongside clients in their journeys toward freedom. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Texas A&M University in 2010, followed by a Master of Arts in Counseling from Colorado Christian University in 2014. I’m also trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and specialize in Emotional Transformation Therapy (ETT®) and Neuro Emotional Technique (NET)—but my approach is eclectic, meaning I tailor each session to what you need, blending different techniques to support genuine healing.
My Counseling Approach
I believe that healing looks different for everyone. Sometimes, it’s about practical coping strategies; other times, it’s about deep emotional work, processing trauma, or reconnecting with faith. I use a mix of approaches, always working to create a space where you feel safe and supported. Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, past trauma, or the effects of a difficult childhood, I’ll meet you where you are and help you move forward in a way that feels right for you.
For those who want to integrate their Christian faith into the counseling process, I love weaving spiritual growth into our work together. But whether faith is a central part of your journey or not, my goal is always the same: to help you find real, lasting freedom and healing.
Who I Work With
I primarily work with adults and older teens, especially those who have survived difficult childhoods and want to break free from the patterns that hold them back. That said, I’m open to working with most people—if you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure where to turn, I’d love to help.
What to Expect
Therapy with me is a mix of deep emotional work and practical tools—we’ll go at your pace and focus on what’s most helpful for you. If you’re feeling nervous about starting therapy, that’s completely normal. My goal is to make you feel comfortable and supported from the very first session.
A Little More About Me
Outside of counseling, I’m a mom to two amazing kids, Eleanor and Brooks. I love anything outdoors—hiking, exploring, just being in nature. I also enjoy crafts, which let me tap into my creative side.
Let’s Connect
If you’re considering therapy, I encourage you to just try one session—there’s no pressure to continue if it doesn’t feel right. My hope is simply to help you get what you need, whether that’s through my support or another path that’s a better fit.
